Key Yoga Asanas that are Simple yet Most Effective for your Lifestyle
We are heading towards our fifth annual edition of the International Yoga Day
Celebration on 21st June 2020. While there are plenty of physical & mental benefits of
doing yoga, the following yoga asanas can benefit us in our daily lives by not only
boosting good health but also immunity for a stronger version of ‘ourselves’:
1) Virabhadrasana
When it comes to yoga asanas for flexibility, we highly recommend the
Virabhadrasana is also known as the warrior pose. It is known to strengthen
the shoulder, arms, and back. It also increases the flexibility in the thighs, calves, and
ankles by stretching the muscles in these parts of the body.

2) Chakrasana
Around 77 million Indians are estimated to be diabetic. Also known as the wheel
pose, Chakrasana is known to energize the body and fill it with positivity. It helps
keep diabetes at bay by rejuvenating the pancreas cells. Some other yoga
asanas for controlling diabetes include Balasana, Vajrasana, Sarvangasana, and
Halasana.

3) Setubandhasana
While Setubandhasana has a host of benefits, it is definitely one of the best yoga
asanas for Osteoporosis and strengthening bone health. It is also known as a
bridge pose and is highly therapeutic for people suffering from any kind of bone
disorders.

4) Savasana
We all need to focus on our mental health and make it a priority, and yoga can
help us all keep this on track. Savasana is a pose where all you need to do is lie
down and keep your back straight. It is known to alleviate anxiety, reduce
fatigue and stress too. Some more yoga asanas for better mental health include
Anjaneyasana, Garudasana, and Natarajasana.
